Built in 1975, the Convocation Center is the home facility for the UTSA men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. The multipurpose facility is located in the heart of Main Campus and is also known as "The Convo" and the "Bird Cage." Fans can park in unmarked spaces in Brackenridge Ave (BK) Lots 1 & 2 for free on game days.

The Convocation Center features a Robins Biocushion maple floor, Hussey retractable seating, two auxiliary courts, a 10' x 19’ 10mm LED videoboard, two Daktronics LED end-wall scoreboards, a center-hung scoreboard and eight collapsible goals.

The Convocation Center has hosted numerous UTSA basketball and volleyball contests, high school playoff games, camps, university convocation ceremonies, concerts, speeches and career fairs, as well as previously serving as the host venue for UTSA Commencement. The venue also hosted 2021 NCAA Women's Basketball First & Second Round Games and has been the site of several conference basketball and volleyball tournaments.
