KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The UTSA women’s golf team turned in a final round 321 for a three-day total of 948 and finished in 18th place at the Mercedes-Benz Women’s Championship.
Sophomore Summer Batiste was the top finisher for the Roadrunners. The Spring native carded a pair of 75s in the first two rounds and then a 78 on Sunday for a 228, which was good for 40th place.
Sophomore Shannon Jungman capped off her day with an 80 in the final round for a three-day total of 239, while senior Shelly Martinez ended the event with a 242 (78-81-82).
Sophomore Bruna Spengler and senior Madison McClain were also in action and posted scores of 243 and 250, respectively.
UTSA hosts the Alamo Invitational at Briggs Ranch on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 26-27.
