SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head women's golf coach Summer Batiste announced on Thursday the program's 2017-18 schedule, headlined by trips to five other states and its annual home tournament, the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational.
The Roadrunners will open their fall slate of five tournaments on Sept. 11-12 when they travel to The Woodlands for the Jim West Challenge.
UTSA then will head to Knoxville, Tenn., for the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship on Sept. 18-19, and to Littleton, Colo., for the Ron Moore Invitational on Oct. 6-8.
The Roadrunners will host the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational on Oct. 22-24 at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio. Formerly known as The Alamo Invitational, the event was renamed last year to honor the late Maryb S. Kauth.
The Birds will conclude the fall on Oct. 30-31 at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas.
The Roadrunners are scheduled to tee off the spring campaign on Feb. 12-13 when they will attempt to defend their team title at the Texas State Invitational in Kyle.
UTSA will make its second straight appearance in The Dickson when the team makes its second trip of the season to The Woodlands on Feb. 26-27.
The Roadrunners then will embark on back-to-back out-of-state ventures with the BYU at Entrada Classic on March 12-13 in St. George, Utah, and the LSU Tiger Classic on March 23-25 in Baton Rouge, La.
UTSA will compete in the Bruzzy Challenge on April 2-3 in Carrollton in what will be its final tune-up for the Conference USA Championship, which will be held on April 18-20 at the Verandah Club in Fort Myers, Fla.
The NCAA Regionals will be held on May 7-9 at four different sites around the country. The NCAA Championship will be contested on May 18-23 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla.
