SAN ANTONIO – After splitting the season's opening two matches, the UTSA soccer program travels to Tulsa, Okla., for a Friday night fixture against Oral Roberts. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
UTSA opened the Derek Pittman era last week with a 1-nil victory at Northwestern State before falling by the same score at Texas State, despite having the better of possession for much of the match.
Katieann Lochte, a junior, scored on a set-piece header against the Lady Demons. In all, six Roadrunners attempted a team-leading three shots each during the week. Defensively, senior goalkeeper Michelle Cole finished the two matches with six saves on 14 shots.
Oral Roberts enters the contest 2-0-0 with wins over Portland State and UTRGV both coming by 1-0 scores. Friday's meeting is the first between the two clubs.
