Track & Field adds Elliot Moran to signing class

SAN ANTONIO -- UTSA Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox announced Wednesday the addition of distance runner Elliot Moran to the Roadrunners' 2019 signing class. 
 
A native of Exeter, England, Moran has shined as a distance runner during his junior career. 
 
Moran captured gold medals in the 1,500 meters in the City of Birmingham Games and the Devon County Schools Championships in 2019. He also claimed the 2,000m steeplechase crown at the Bill Whistlecroft Spring Festival and won the Exmouth Parkrun in 2019. 
 
In 2018, Moran claimed top honors in the steeplechase at the New Balance ESAA English Schools' Championships, the South West Schools' Championships and in the Devon County Championships. 
 
Moran's personal bests including a time of 3:55.41 in the 1,500m and 5:55.47 in the 2,000m steeplechase. 
 
"Elliot Moran is a strong addition to our roster," Fox said. "He has been a consistent performer throughout his career and has the ability to step right into our program and have an impact. Elliot is a great addition to the Roadrunner Family and we can't wait to welcome him into the fold at UTSA." 
 
Moran is the 19th announced member of UTSA's 2019 class, as he joins men's signees Jayton Acosta, Jorge Ayala, Oquendo Bernard, Caleb Brandon, Joel McFarlane, Angel Robles, Grant Szalek, Jack Turner, Harrison Wade and women's signees Taylor Armstrong, Vera Chinedu, Ana Carolin Da Silva, Ingeborg Gruenwald, Sigrid Kleive, Natasha Purchas, Zoie Reyna, Amaya Scott and Maren Wilms.
