Cross Country set for meet Saturday at UIW

SAN ANTONIO – UTSA cross country will venture to Live Oak City Park in San Antonio to participate in the UIW Invitational, starting on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. 
 
The event will open with the men's four mile starting at 7:30 a.m. at Live Oak Park, with the women's 5,000 meters set for 8 a.m. 
 
The Roadrunners opened the 2019 cross country season on Aug. 30 with the UIW Opener at the Classic Elites Soccer Complex at McCallister Park. The UTSA women, who were unranked, topped the fifth and eighth-ranked teams in the region and got strong performances from junior Amber Boyd and Coleen Gilbert. 
 
UTSA's men's team includes Omar Bekdache, Dominic Cavazos, JD Corona, Matthew David, Caleb Devereaux, Garrett Fowler, Marcus Guajardo, Cameron Hudson, Zack Kovar, Martin Luevano, Eliot Moran, Josh Rodriguez, Peter Sepulveda, Jake Smith and Harris Wade. 
 
The UTSA women's team includes Boyd and Gilbert, along with sophomore Abby Balli, senior Sarah Estrada, senior Olivia Flores, senior Gabby Gonzales, sophomore Briana Gonzalez, sophomore Brooke Lomax, sophomore Marissa Martinez, sophomore Chloe Munoz, freshman Zoienna Reyna, senior Rian Rodriguez and sophomore Sofia Salinas.
