UTSA inks Je’Vaun Dabon to National Letter of Intent

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor announced Thursday that Je'Vaun Dabon has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Roadrunners as part of the 2020 signing class.

Dabon starred as a 6-foot-2, 180-pound defensive back at Cypress Ridge High School in Houston. Despite playing in only three games as a senior, Dabon posted 19 tackles, two interceptions, three pass breakups and a forced fumble for the Rams in 2019. He registered 44 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and five interceptions and was named first-team all-district as a junior.

The addition of Dabon pushes the 2020 signing class total to 20 student-athletes. Nine signed during the early signing period in December and eight more joined the class on Feb. 5, while former Smithson Valley High School and New Mexico State quarterback Josh Adkins was added in April and former UMass wide receiver Brennon Dingle was announced as a graduate transfer in May.
