CLEVELAND — A dozen UTSA players have been named to the Phil Steele All-Conference USA Teams, which were announced on Tuesday.
A league-high seven Roadrunners earned a spot on the first team, one more than both UAB and Marshall.
Frank Harris received the first-team nod at quarterback, while All-American Sincere McCormick was one of two running backs named to the first-team backfield and Spencer Burford joined four others on the first-team offensive line. Linebacker Trevor Harmanson and safety Rashad Wisdom garnered first-team honors on the defense. All-American Lucas Dean was tabbed the first-team punter and Hunter Duplessis was the first kicker chosen by the publication.
Wide receiver Zakhari Franklin and center Ahofitu Maka each received second-team accolades, outside linebacker Charles Wiley made the third team defense and wide receiver Joshua Cephus and offensive lineman Makai Hart both earned a spot on the fourth team.
