UTSA falls to UTA

ARLINGTON, Texas – The UTSA women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to UT Arlington Friday afternoon at the UTA Tennis Center.
 
"Tough match today," head coach Ki Kroll said. "We'll have to step it up tomorrow against SMU. I believe in this team and know we're very capable."
 
The Mavericks game out strong winning the doubles point.
 
In singles, UTA won the first two points at No,.4 and 5, respectively, to take a 3-0 lead. Aleksandra Zlatarova won her point at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-1 victory for UTSA's first point. Alexandra Weir won the next singles point at No. 3 to close the gap to one, 3-2. Jasmin Starr fell at No. 1, 6-1, 7-6 as the Mavericks won the match.
 
The Roadrunners return to the court tomorrow when they travel to Dallas to take on SMU.
