Roadrunners swept by No. 2 Texas

AUSTIN – The UTSA women's tennis team was swept by No. 2 Texas Thursday afternoon at the Texas Tennis Center.

"Tough match against the No. 2 team in the country," head coach Ki Kroll said. "I was very pleased with our effort level and hope to carry that into the next few matches."

The Longhorns started out strong taking all three doubles matches to win the point. Texas continued to win and swept in singles too.

In singles, Catalina Cabrique won four games off her opponent at No. 4, while Jasmin Starr and Keegan McCain each won three games at No. 1 and 5, respectively.

The Roadrunners are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Rice.
