Roadrunners release 21-22 schedule

SAN ANTONIO – UTSA women's basketball head coach Karen Aston announced the 2021-22 schedule on Monday.

"We are happy to finally be able to finalize our schedule for the 21-22 season," Aston said. "We will enjoy the comradeship that occurs by playing the Texas schools that are in close proximity. It provides us a chance to build non-conference rivalries. To balance those, we added very challenging games in Arizona, Minnesota and at Texas A&M. Those games challenge us and give our players a chance to experience big time road environments. The goal is to prepare the Roadrunners for the rigors of Conference USA!"

The Roadrunners open the season hosting former Southland Conference foe Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 9.

The first road trip of the season is Nov. 13 when UTSA travels to Abilene to face Abilene Christian.

I-35 rival Texas State comes to the Alamo City Nov. 18 and cross-town foe UIW will play in the Convocation Center on Nov. 21.

Closing out the month of November, the Roadrunners travel to the Midwest to take on the Minnesota Gophers Nov. 28.

UTSA will continue a short road stint with a trip to Tempe Ariz. for the ASU Classic Dec. 4-5. The Roadrunners will face the Sun Devils on Saturday and Colorado State on Sunday.

For just the second time in program history, UTSA will play Dartmouth when the Big Green comes to Military City USA Dec. 13.

The Roadrunners closeout 2021 on the road. The first stop is the UTRGV South Padre Island Classic Dec. 17-18. UTSA plays the Vaqueros on Friday and Grand Canyon on Saturday.

Wrapping up the non-conference slate, the Roadrunners will take on Texas A&M Dec. 20 in College Station.

In Conference USA action, UTSA will host Middle Tennessee, UAB, Old Dominion, Charlotte, UTEP, Rice, North Texas, Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech.

The Roadrunners will travel to Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech, UTEP, FIU, Florida Atlantic, WKU, UAB, North Texas and Rice.
