Under the direction of second-year head coach Jeff Traylor, the Roadrunners are coming off a seven-win season that saw UTSA advance to the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl and earn a second-place finish in C-USA's West Division. A trio of UTSA standouts earned All-America honors last year, including running back Sincere McCormick, punter Lucas Dean and kicker Hunter Duplessis. McCormick was named Dave Campbell's Texas Football College Player of the Year and the C-USA Offensive Player of the Year, with Dean earning C-USA Special Teams Player of the Year honors. A total of 23 Roadrunners received all-conference or C-USA All-Freshman Team honors from in 2020.
