UTSA to continue indoor campaign at Charlie Thomas Invitational

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA track & field teams will continue the indoor campaign this Friday-Saturday, Feb. 4-5, when they travel to College Station for the Charlie Thomas Invitational at Gilliam Indoor Stadium.
 
This will mark the fourth straight week the Roadrunners have been in action and the third time in four meets they will be competing in Aggieland.
 
UTSA will line up against athletes from Abilene Christian, Alabama, Baylor, Cincinnati, Houston, Houston Baptist, Little Rock, Oklahoma, Prairie View A&M, Rice, Sam Houston, San Diego State, SMU, South Plains, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M, Texas Southern, Texas State, UCF, UT Arlington and Vanderbilt.
 
The two-day meet is scheduled to get underway at 2:30 p.m. Friday with the first event in the women's pentathlon, followed by the men's heptathlon at 2:45 p.m. Saturday's field-event action will start at noon and running events will begin at 12:30 p.m. 
  
The Roadrunners are coming off a solid showing with three event wins at the Houston G5 & Super 22 Invitational last weekend. Oreoluwa Adamson and Sam Healy swept gold in the long jump competitions, while the women's distance medley relay team raced to first place to highlight action in Houston.
