Bryan-College Station, Texas – Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil) claimed a singles win on court 1 over the nation's 56th ranked player but the No. 68 UTSA men's tennis team fell 6-1 to the No. 25 Texas A&M Sunday evening at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
Ceolin posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory on court 1 as he bested No. 56 Noah Schachter in singles.
UTSA (9-8) fell on the remaining five courts in singles.
In doubles, Ceolin and Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) lost to the No. 57 Austin Abbrat and Schachter on court 1, falling 6-0.
Up next, the Roadrunners will hit the road to Virginia next weekend to face No. 56 Old Dominion on Friday, William & Mary on Saturday, and No. 49 VCU on Sunday.
