Roadrunners to travel to Virginia over weekend

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's tennis team will be traveling to Virginia this weekend to face No. 62 Old Dominion on Friday, William and Mary on Saturday and No. 39 VCU on Sunday.
 
UTSA (9-8) comes off a loss to No. 24 Texas A&M on Sunday in College Station.
 
The Roadrunners are currently 47-43 in singles and 26-15 in doubles.
 
Freshman Tiago Torres (Lisbon, Portugal) leads the Roadrunners in singles wins as he currently holds 12 victories, recording his last win against Texas A&M Corpus Christi on March 23. Also in singles, senior Joao Ceolin (Paolotina, Brazil) claimed his second ranked win of the season as he bested the No. 56 Noah Schachter of Texas A&M on Sunday. His first ranked win was against No. 20 Micah Braswell of Texas on Jan. 14.
 
Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) and Torres lead the Roadrunners in doubles wins as they currently hold a 9-3 record as a duo. In individual doubles wins, Rodriguez and Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) both claim 10 victories.
 
First serve at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center against the Monarchs is set for 12 p.m.
