SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's tennis team hits the road this weekend as they are set to face Abilene Christian on Saturday at 9 a.m. and the No.36 Texas Tech on Sunday at 10 a.m.
The No. 60 UTSA (6-3) seeks to continue the momentum gained from their 6-1 win over UTA earlier this week.
Tiago Torres (Lisbon, Portugal) looks to keep his win streak alive as he won his fifth straight singles match on Wednesday. Torres and Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) are currently 7-2 in singles so far this season. The duo is also 3-1 in doubles as they handed the UTA pair Anton Shepp (Hamilton, New Zealand) and Miguel Cabrera (Santiago, Chile) their first loss of the season.
Also in doubles, Maxim Groysman (Bellevue, Wash.) and Garrett Skelly (The Woodlands, Texas) are riding on a four-match win streak. They improved to 4-2 on the season as the they gave the UTA duo, Ricardo Alban (Guaya, Ecuador) and Habib Stambouli (Sousse, Tunisia) their first loss on the season.
