Roadrunners take on Bobcats for third time this season

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team is set to travel to San Marcos on Tuesday to face Texas State for the third time this season. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

UTSA enters the game 14-23 overall and 7-7 in conference after sweeping UAB in a doubleheader on Friday. Sunday's game was canceled due to weather.
 
Riley Grunberg continues to lead the team in batting average with a .333. The senior has 25 runs, 38 hits, three doubles, 10 home runs and 26 RBIs. She has also earned 20 walks to lead the team. Marena Estell now solely leads the team in home runs with 11. She also leads in the circle with a 3.53 ERA. Estell holds. 4-8 record and has pitched 67.1 innings with 34 strikeouts.
 
Scouting Texas State
Texas State comes into the matchup 24-17 overall and 10-8 in the Sun Belt after sweeping Georgia State over the weekend.
 
Cat Crenek leads the Bobcats with a .385 batting average. She has 17 runs, 30 hits, two doubles and a triple. Leading the squad in home runs with Sara Vanderford with six. In the circle, Jessica Mullians posts a 2.13 ERA with. 16-11 record. She has pitched 161 innings with 182 strikeouts.
