Alan Magadan signs with UTSA men’s tennis

SAN ANTONIO- The UTSA men's tennis team has signed Alan Magadan for the 2022-23 season, it was announced on Wednesday by head coach Sergey Avedeyev.
 
"We are very excited to welcome Alan to our team." Head coach Sergey Avedeyev said. "Alan brings much experience to the table as he has had experience playing international competition. He possesses great leadership qualities and has the desire to continually improve, which fits very well with our culture. Alan wants to pursue a professional career in tennis after completing his degree at UTSA and we are excited to start working with him on the court."
 
Magadan comes from Tyler Junior College, playing only one season with the Apaches. He participated in the ATP 250 tennis tournament in Los Cabos, Mexico. He has also claimed a spot on the top 130 International Tennis Federation. Furthermore, Magadan trained with ranked No.1 tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic and former professional tennis player, Janko Tipsarevic. Magadan's highest Universal Tennis Rating is 12.95.
