Baseball announces summer camp schedule

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA baseball team – in the midst of a historic 2022 season – will host a trio of summer camps at Roadrunner Field. 
 
UTSA will host a pair of Youth Camps, including the first June 13-16 and the second coming on July 11-14. Prices for both sessions are $200 and are open to male and female athletes from first – eighth grade as of the fall. 
 
The Roadrunners will host a High School Prospect Camp on Aug. 13 at Roadrunner Field. Admission is open to all boys in high school as of the fall and prices are $175 for pitchers and $225 for position and two-way players.

The Roadrunners have advanced to the postseason in 2022 and are set to open the Conference USA Tournament on Wednesday with a matchup against Florida Atlantic. UTSA has won 22 of its last 31 games, own a top-50 national RPI and rank among the program standards with 35 wins (fifth most), 19 league wins (fifth most, most in its C-USA history), 21 home wins (fourth most). The Roadrunners have already shattered school team records in strikeouts and rank among the tops in program history in runs, doubles, home runs, RBI, walks, HBP and on-base percentage. 
 
UTSA is under the direction of third-year head coach Pat Hallmark, who took over the Roadrunners after helping lead Rice to 11 consecutive NCAA Tournament as an assistant on Hall of Famer Wayne Graham's staff, before a year on the staff at Missouri and two years as the head coach at UIW. Hallmark is assisted by former standout collegiate shortstop Ryan Aguayo, the hitting and recruiting coordinator, pitching coordinator Zach Butler and volunteer assistant coach Alan Sailors.
