Holzmann named to WGCA All-American Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — UTSA senior Hannah Holzmann has been named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for the third consecutive year.

Holzmann's selection this year gives the Roadrunners eight such honors under fifth-year head coach Summer Batiste.

A four-time Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll member, Holzmann earned her bachelor's degree in sociology in May.

The San Antonio native recently wrapped up her UTSA career by helping the Roadrunners advance to their fourth straight NCAA postseason. She finished 20th after carding a 2-over-par 218 to help guide UTSA to a sixth-place showing at the Franklin Regional, the best NCAA finish in program history.

Holzmann posted five top-20 finishes, including a pair of top 10s, and registered a 75.33 stroke average during her final campaign. She tied for fourth with a 2-under 214 to help lead UTSA to the Chattanooga Classic team crown. She grabbed a share of ninth place with a 214 at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship.

A total of 1,485 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
