SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head coach Summer Batiste on Friday announced the women's golf program's fall schedule, which features five tournaments in three different states.
The Roadrunners will open their sixth season under Batiste, a two-time Conference USA Coach of the Year, on Sept. 20-21 when they travel to Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, to play in The "Mo"Morial Invitational.
UTSA then will make back-to-back trips to Oklahoma for the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept, 24-26 at Belmar Golf Club in Norman followed by the Dale McNamara Invitational hosted by Tulsa on Oct. 10-11 at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow.
The Roadrunners will return to America's Heartland on Oct. 17-18 to compete in the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational hosted by Kansas at Lawrence Country Club.
UTSA will conclude the fall slate on Oct. 23-24 at the Jim West Challenge at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos.
The Roadrunners welcome back three letterwinners from last year's team that advanced to an NCAA Regional for the fourth straight year. Led by a top-five individual showing from San Antonio native Camryn Carreon, UTSA finished sixth at the Franklin Regional to register the program's top NCAA postseason team finish. Carreon fired a 5-under-par 211 to place fourth in the regional and become the first Roadrunner to advance to the national championship round.
