Jenkins earns second C-USA Player of the Week title

DALLAS – For the second time this season, Jordyn Jenkins was named the Conference USA Player of the Week, announced the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Jenkins is the first Roadrunner to earn C-USA Player of the Week multiple times in a season since the 2016-2017 season. Tesha Smith was named the C-USA Player of the Week twice - on Jan. 23 and Feb. 27.

The junior forward earned the award after recording her sixth career double-double and first at UTSA. Jenkins transferred from USC, where she had five double-doubles last season. In a close battle with UIW last week, Jenkins led the team in both points (21) and rebounds (11). The Kent, Wash., native leads the conference in total points (150) and 18.8 points per game.
