SAN ANTONIO – It's the end of the home schedule for the UTSA Roadrunners men's tennis team (15-4), which will host its Senior Day in the home finale at the UTSA Tennis Center on Friday against the William & Mary Tribe (6-6). The Roadrunners will honor their lone senior, Sebastian Rodriguez during a ceremony between the doubles and senior matches.
The 37th-ranked Roadrunners all already one win deep on the week, defeating Denver at the UTSA Tennis Center on Wednesday, 5-2. The victory adds to their standard-setting 13-match win streak, which ties No. 31 Utah for the second-longest streak in NCAA Division I men's tennis, just a hair behind Temple with 14. The 2023 Roadrunners have registerd the highest program win total since 2015, when UTSA last reached the NCAA Tournament, after earning the Conference USA Championship.
UTSA is 8-0 in the month of March, claiming wins over No. 9 Texas A&M, No. 54 Old Dominion and No. 28 VCU to rise to its current program-high standing in the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point.
UTSA will meet the Tribe on Friday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m., celebrating Senior Day following the doubles match. The only senior and hailing from Trujillo, Peru, Rodriguez has played all four years of his career in the top three singles courts for UTSA, building a record of 32-26, while also going 37-19 in the top two doubles in collaboration with a variety of partners. Last season, Rodriguez helped give the Roadrunners their first advance in the C-USA Tournament in seven seasons, clinching the match on the third court to defeat Old Dominion and move on. The 2020 Conference USA Freshman of the Year, Rodriguez has earned C-USA Athlete of the Week accolades and is a three-time member of the C-USA Honor Roll.
Putting up the top numbers toward UTSA's 57-38 singles record this season, McAllen, Texas junior Alan Magadan is 12-6, while Rodriguez (9-4) and Bosnian sophomore Danijal Muminovic (9-6) are just three wins back.
Oporto, Portrugal-native sophomore Tomás Pinho leads all UTSA doubles players with an 11-6 mark, while both Rodriguez (10-5) and Magadan (10-6) both have reached double-digit wins. Pinho has a 7-0 record when partnered with Rodriguez, while Magadan is 7-2 with standing Conference USA Athlete of the Week Tiago Torres – a sophomore out of Lisbon, Portrugal.

About William & Mary
The Tribe is meeting UTSA for the first time since 2016 and are 6-6 on the season, opening up a three-match Texas swing on Friday. The Tribe have wins in two of their last three, but head to San Antonio fresh off a 4-3 loss to Delaware at home. This will be WM's first match off the East Coast this season. William & Mary is coached by former UTSA head coach Jeff Kader, who has gone 75-72 in eight seasons since returning to his alma mater. Kader was 63-58 in five seasons at UTSA, leading the Roadrunners to two NCAA tournament appearances and two conference championships.

UTSA will close the season on the road, traveling to San Diego State on March 31st and then heading to Houston for a preview of the Conference USA Tournament facility with a visit to 73rd-ranked Rice on April 8. The Roadrunners will have a 13-day gap before the start of the Conference USA Championships, April 21-23.
