BRYAN, Texas — Hunter Bott tied for 10th place to lead the UTSA men's golf team to 13th at The Aggie Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday at Traditions Club (par 72/7,227 yards).

Bott carded a 3-under-par 213 in logging his fifth career top-10 showing and best finish of his senior season. The Montgomery High School product opened with a 74 on Monday morning before turning in back-to-back par-or-better rounds. He recorded a 4-under 68 in the second round to match his season-best score and then capped the tournament with a 1-under 71 today.

Teeing off in his final round on No. 10, Bott birdied the 182-yard, par-3 11th hole on a bogey-free back nine. He countered a pair of bogeys on the front with birdies on the 429-yard third and the 354-yard sixth holes in moving up one spot on the individual leaderboard into a share of 10th with Austin Cherichella of Florida Gulf Coast, only four shots behind medalist Max Kennedy of Louisville, Golfstat's 52nd-ranked individual, who posted a 7-under 209 (71-66-72). He also placed ahead of two nationally ranked players from Texas A&M in No. 83 Vishnu Sadagopan (T-14th) and No. 53 William Paysse (T-17th).
