Chabot, Roth to race in U23 NACAC Championships

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA rising junior sprinters Brice Chabot and Mike Roth are set to race for their native countries in the U23 NACAC Championship this Friday-Sunday, July 21-23, in San José, Costa Rica.
 
Chabot, a native of Smithville, Texas, will race for the United States in the men's 200 meters. The school record holder at 20.44 seconds and a two-time medalist in the event at the conference meets this year will take to the oval at 8:25 p.m. CT Saturday for the semifinal round. The final is slated for 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
 
Roth, a native of St. Thomas, Ontario, will represent Canada in the men's 400m. The 2023 conference indoor and outdoor 400m gold medalist and indoor school record holder at 46.42 will line up in the semifinals at 3:45 p.m. Friday. The final is set for 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
