The trip will mark a homecoming for a pair of Roadrunners who hail from Montgomery in Hunter Bott and Bryson Thurston, who will be playing as an individual. Bott will be joined in the lineup by Jack Wehman, Walker Franklin, David Harrison and Brock Blais.

UTSA will compete against No. 28 Baylor, Houston, Missouri State, Nicholls, Rice, Sam Houston, Southern Illinois, SFA, Tarleton, TCU, Texas A&M-Commerce, UT Arlington, UTRGV and Western Kentucky.

The field will play 36 holes on Monday and the final round is slated for Tuesday.

The Roadrunners are coming off a sixth-place showing at the Sea Best Invitational last month in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Bott led the way by firing a 1-over-par 211 (71-69-71) to grab a share of seventh, while Blais tied for 21st with a 216 (74-68-74).

David Harrison owns the second-best scoring average on the squad with a 73.4 mark. The senior from Trophy Club, Texas, logged his top finish of the season at The Carolina Cup, tying for 14th after turning in a 221 (74-74-73).

Jack Wehman has averaged 73.93 strokes per round during his junior campaign. The Austin native’s top showing was a tie for 21st at The Clerico after registering a 217 (74-73-71).

Blais has posted a 74.13 stroke average during his true freshman campaign. His top finish came in his last outing at the Sea Best Invitational in his hometown.

Franklin played in a pair of tournaments last fall and the transfer from Louisville owns a top finish of 67th from the Valero Texas Collegiate at TPC San Antonio.

Thurston also has appeared in two events in his debut season with the Roadrunners with a best finish of 64th at The Clerico.
