SAN ANTONIO – Eight UTSA student-athletes have earned Arthur Ashe, Jr., Sports-Scholar Awards.
In addition to their athletic ability, those named 2024 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars are exceptional students who have maintained at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, are at least sophomores academically, and have been active on their campuses or in their communities.
UTSA student-athlete honorees include: Ore Adamson (women’s track & field), Hailey Atwood (women’s basketball), Oscar Cardenas (football), Kaedric Cobbs (football), Ibiso David-West (women’s track & field), Payne He’Bert (football), Brandon Matterson (football) and Isaiah Walker (baseball).
