LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior Tiago Torres led UTSA’s efforts over the weekend at the ITF M25 Louisville Futures tournament, earning a pair of advancing wins to reach the tournament’s quarter-final.
In the opening round of the main draw, Torres defeated Louisville’s Miguel Avendaño (7-5, 6-1), moving on to push past SMU’s Adam Neff (7-6 [6], 6-4) and reach the quarter-final. In quarters, Torres fell to Aidan Mchugh (6-3, 6-3), who previously reached No. 74 on the ITF singles rankings.
Also in Louisville, Miguel Alonso and OskarGrzegorzewski competed in the qualifying singles draw.
Up Next: Remaining in ITF competition, the Roadrunners will open the week at the southern tip of Texas in the ITF M25 Harlingen Futures.
