Jordyn Jenkins listed on 2025 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Watch List

Her Hoop Stats has officially released the watch list on Wednesday

HOPEWELL, N.J. – On Wednesday, Her Hoop Stats officially released the 2025 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Watch List, with redshirt senior Jordyn Jenkins representing the UTSA women’s basketball program for the second consecutive year.

The 25-player watchlist features representatives from 22 teams and 15 conferences, as fellow American Athletic Conference competitors join Jenkins in Delaine Crawford (Tulsa) and DeeDee Hagemann (Memphis)

The Kent, Washington native was sidelined for the majority of the 2023-24 campaign but immediately made an impact upon her return. Appearing in the final 12 games of the season, she averaged 17.1 PPG and 6.8 RPG with 15 steals and 13 blocks despite a minute restriction.

She was named AAC Player of the Week on Feb. 19 after dropping 11 points and seven rebounds in a tussle with Tulsa and exploding for 29 points and four boards in just 24 minutes against North Texas. Two of her 12 games featured double-doubles, as she charted 15 points and 10 rebounds against Temple on Feb. 22, ahead of an 11-point, 11-rebound performance against Memphis on Feb. 28.

Previously, Jenkins earned both 2022-23 Conference-USA Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors, along with first-team recognition, becoming just the third player in league history to win all three awards. She averaged 20.6 PPG at an incredibly efficient 49.3% shooting clip and shined on the glass, managing 7.5 RPG, setting the school record for points across a season with 659 points. She became the first student-athlete at UTSA to claim four C-USA Player of the Week honors in a single season while serving as a double-double machine, logging nine across the year.

The 15-player midseason watch list will be announced in January, followed by 10 semifinalists announced in February. The five finalists will be announced in early March, with the winner announced around the Final Four. The list is fluid, and players may play their way on or off it over the course of the season.
