Danijal Muminovic: "I chose UTSA because it offers a strong mix of academic excellence and a supportive athletic community. The university's highly ranked business program and vibrant, diverse culture made UTSA the perfect place to grow personally, academically and athletically."
Q: What do you like most about being a student-athlete at UTSA?
Danijal Muminovic: "What I enjoy most about being a student-athlete at UTSA is the pride of representing my university - it is an unbelievable experience. Being a student-athlete has taught me to stay organized, responsible and resilient. I am incredibly grateful to UTSA for this opportunity to grow and make lasting memories."
Q: How did you first get involved playing tennis?
Danijal Muminovic: "I explored a few different sports at first, but tennis quickly captured my heart. My inspiration also came from my older sister, who was ranked in the top 10 in Europe for her age at the time. Watching her success had motivated me to pick up a racket and pursue the sport seriously."
Q: What are you majoring in and what do you hope to do career wise?
Danijal Muminovic: "I am double majoring in Business Analytics and Operations and Supply Chain Management, with the hopes of becoming an analyst. I would love to stay connected to the sports world and help others achieve their best."
Q: What is an interesting fact about you most people might not know?
Danijal Muminovic: "I am a huge fan of crepes! It is something that I could eat every day."
Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?
Danijal Muminovic: "The most influential person in my life is my mum because of her unconditional love and support. She has taught me the importance of hard work and always giving my best, yet she also reminds me to enjoy life along the way. Her positivity and dedication to helping others inspire me daily."
Q: Who is your sports role model?
Danijal Muminovic: "Growing up, I was inspired by tennis legend Roger Federer. His elegance on the court, unique playing style and dedication to the game have always made him my sports hero."
