IRVING, Texas – Redshirt senior Jordyn Jenkins corralled her fourth American Athletic Conference Player of the Week award of the season on Monday,
Jenkins and the Roadrunners improved to 14-2 on the season and 5-0 in conference play, as she averaged 21.0 PPG and 8.5 RPG with four blocks and three steals across victories over Rice and Wichita State. She first scored 21 with 14 boards across a 67-58 win against the Owls before logging 21 points and three blocks in a 69-51 routing of the Shockers.
She has now earned 10 Player of the Week awards (4x CUSA, 1x Pac-12, 5x AAC) across her collegiate tenure. With five selections in The American, she moves into a tie for seventh on the league’s all-time list despite playing less than two full seasons. Additionally, she’s claimed the accolade in back-to-back weeks.
