SAN ANTONIO — The Roadrunners stay perfect, taking down Tarleton on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the UTSA Tennis Center in San Antonio, Texas.
UTSA is now 11-0 with a 3-0 home record. UTSA has now outscored their opponents 50-8 in the eleven matches played. The Roadrunners are now 21-7 in doubles and 41-6 in singles.
The Roadrunners will host Houston at noon, Saturday, Feb. 16 at the UTSA Tennis Center.
Match 11
Tarleton managed to take the first point of the match as they won two of the three matches. A Team of Vittoria Baccino and Letizia Corsini beat their opponents 6-3.
Arina Babenko managed to tie the match up as she blanked her opponent 6-0,6-0 at No. 5. At No. 2 Ekua Youri took down her opponent 6-2, 6-1 to put the Roadrunners up 2-1. Both Youri and Babenko are 8-0 in singles.
At court No. 3, Valeria Sanchez defeated her opponent 7-5, 6-2 to put the Roadrunners up 3-1. Tarleton won at court No. 6 and No. 1 to tie the match at 3-3. To close out the match, Vittoria Baccino defeated her opponent at No. 3, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
