SAN ANTONIO — Senior outfielder Mason Lytle was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the conference office announced at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Mar. 3.
Lytle is coming off an outstanding week where he tallied a .583 batting average with 14 hits in 24 at bats with eleven RBIs. Lytle notched seven total doubles and a career high three doubles against Youngstown State on Saturday, Mar. 1 in the second game of the doubleheader.
Lytle is currently leading the nation in hits with 29. He is currently leading The American in at-bats (57), Runs (18), hits (29) and total bases (40).
