A fixture of the UTSA football program’s video department since the practice season in 2010, Alex Nicasio was hired as video coordinator in February 2015.
In his current role, Nicasio oversees all video operations for the program and he supervises the student video staff. His day-to-day duties include videotaping every practice and game, editing, setting up video meeting rooms and film exchange.
Nicasio got his start as a volunteer student video assistant at UTSA in 2010-11. The San Antonio native was promoted to assistant video coordinator in 2012 and served in that role for one more season before becoming the video coordinator prior to the 2015 campaign.
Nicasio earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from UTSA in 2010 and a master’s degree in adult learning and teaching from UTSA in 2013.
